Peer-to-Peer Networking

Confidential Peer Groups

As a result of our education programmes, The Philanthropy Workshop and Next Generation Philanthropy, participants often organise themselves into confidential peer groups who meet regularly, sharing their experiences and challenges in philanthropy and offering peer support. 

These groups are alumni driven, not attended by Institute for Philanthropy staff (except those who themselves are alumni of the programmes and attend in that capacity) and are free of charge.  Since the groups are formed and run by alumni, they vary in content and policy of attendance, some being open to all alumni, others being by invitation only.

Networking Events

Alongside our explicit focus on networking at our bi-annual New York and London TPW Alumni Reunions, the Institute for Philanthropy hosts and facilitates close-knit networking lunches, dinners and other gatherings in London, New York and Toronto for TPW alumni to help build valuable connections and contacts.  

In providing these intimate social settings, we enable alumni to benefit from the peer support, personal interactions and lesson sharing that can strengthen their own philanthropic work. 

Website Forum

In 2010 we launched our password-protected forum of the website to facilitate TPW Alumni Network Association networking.  This 24-hour hub is available to members to ask questions, share experiences and resources with peers from around the world.
